Office Operations Manager
Sherrie Toma joined CBRE in 2015 through its merger with UCR. She was with UCR since April 2013. As Office Operations Manager, Sherrie is responsible for supervising and managing the operational day-to-day activities of the Dallas Park Lane Office. She also handles a wide range of Human Resources activities including recruitment, selection, on-boarding, training and performance management. Her duties also include overseeing real estate and business licensing processes to ensure full compliance with state and local licensing requirements.
Prior to UCR, Sherrie spent 15 years in the IT industry, working for Electronic Data Systems (EDS) as Operations Manager and Nascent Systems as Office Manager and HR Professional. Prior to working in IT, Sherrie spent 18 years in the oil and gas industry working for Getty Oil Company in Houston, Crystal Oil Company in Shreveport, Louisiana and Lear Petroleum in Dallas.
Sherrie attended The University of Louisiana at Monroe and majored in Business. Personal development courses that Sherrie has completed include The Dale Carnegie Course, Dale Carnegie’s Leadership Training for Managers and Stephen Covey’s The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. While in the Dale Carnegie Course, she was awarded the course’s “Highest Achievement Award.”
In addition to her husband, Rick, her two four-legged daughters, Gabby and Molly, Sherrie’s passion is volunteering with her HOA in the Deerfield community in Plano. She began volunteering in 1999 and has served on several committees and as HOA Board President for three years. She is blessed with friends, family and a great job!
