CBRE Completes New Lease for Eatzi’s Market & Bakery in Preston Royal Village Shopping Center

DALLAS – February 10, 2017 – CBRE announces a new retail lease in Dallas’ coveted Preston Royal Village Shopping Center East on behalf of Eatzi’s Market & Bakery. The expanding eatery’s retail space will be approximately 5,400 square feet.

The Dallas-based company, which has locations in Plano, Grapevine, Highland Park, Uptown/Oak Lawn and most recently Fort Worth (opening Spring 2017), expects to open the new Dallas store, located at 6025 Royal Lane, in early October 2017. The company, which features a video on its website describing its unique concept, opened its first retail location in 1996.

“Preston Royal Village is an inner loop, urban location with a high density of a variety of consumers from young families to older generations,” said Greg Pierce, Senior Vice President, CBRE. “Being on the corner of two highly-recognizable streets such as Preston Road and Royal Lane, places Eatzi’s in an iconic location that will bring in daily traffic to the shopping center.”

Mr. Pierce and Ryan May with CBRE in Dallas handled site selection for Eatzi’s and represented them in the lease transaction with EDENS, who was represented by Michael Hale.

Eatzi’s Market & Bakery is a European-style eatery that serves a wide variety of seasonal dishes from grilled meats and seafoods to fresh sushi, custom sandwiches and salads, deli meats and cheeses, pastries, desserts, and beer and wine. The meals are prepared  from scratch daily, by teams of culinary-trained chefs.

“We are very excited about the opportunity to serve a fantastic community located in such a prime location in Dallas, where consumers expect great food served in a convenient format just like Eatzi’s offers,” said Eatzi’s CEO Adam Romo.

Preston Royal Village, the historic Dallas shopping center, is owned by EDENS, one of the nation’s leading retail real estate owners and developers. The center is home to national retailers including Barnes & Noble and Sur la Table as well as local favorites such as Dougherty’s Pharmacy.
