Dan Shoevlin Named Partner at UCR
DALLAS, Texas, September 4, 2014 — UCR Dallas, a leading retail real estate services provider, today announced it has named Dan Shoevlin as Partner. Dan joined UCR in January 2009 and has been with the firm for five years. He is consistently a Top Ten producing broker, and, in February, UCR awarded Dan its highest honor, the Jean Smith Service Award, for his exceptional leadership and service to the firm. His partnership recognizes the immense contribution he has made personally and professionally to UCR.
“I have a deep respect for Dan’s work ethic, passion and personal investment in UCR. I am thrilled to finally call him partner,” says Mickey Ashmore, UCR President & CEO.
Dan has played an integral role in shaping and growing UCR’s institutional project leasing and management platform, helping secure and retain notable clients such as RREEF/Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management, Heitman, Prudential, RPAI and CW Capital.
“Dan truly understands project leasing from the landlord’s perspective. He gets great results for our clients and his ability to think like an owner has been instrumental in helping grow this business at UCR,” says Scott Weaver, President of UCR’s Asset Services division.
His strong skills in project leasing have been rewarded with several high-profile assignments in Texas and beyond, like Highlands at Flower Mound, Danada Square West in Illinois, Collin Creek Shopping Center, Addison Walk, Twin Creeks Village, Woodland Plaza in Tulsa and Museum Place in Fort Worth.
Dan’s service to the company has extended beyond growing revenue. He has also served as a mentor to UCR’s junior brokers, helping teach best practices when working with institutional clients and leasing the properties within their portfolios.
Carter Butler, now Vice President at UCR, reflects on Dan’s mentorship, saying “Dan has played an integral part in shaping my career. His work ethic is unmatched in the industry, and I have learned a great deal from him over the last five and a half years working alongside him. I appreciate his patience and honest candor and willingness to always stop what he is doing to listen and help when it’s needed.”
As partner, Dan hopes to work with company leaders to further grow the brokerage platform to meet the demand for institutional-quality leasing/management service in the Dallas/Fort Worth market and in other cities. Dan is also excited to implement a training program for young brokers that will enable UCR to meet these needs nationwide.
“I’m honored to be asked to partner with UCR and continue to help grow this company,” Dan states. “I’ve been in awe of how quickly Mickey built this company from scratch. It was special to join him five years ago and now to partner with him and continue to grow his vision, I am truly humbled.”
