New Farm-Fresh Rotisserie Chicken Concept Farmbyrd Opens First Location at Preston Parker Crossing in Plano

DALLAS – January 30, 2017 – CBRE announces Farmbyrd, a new fast casual restaurant, is now open at Preston Parker Crossing in Plano, Texas. This is the first location for Farmbyrd, a new concept which will serve farm-fresh rotisserie and fried chicken along with an assortment of sides and salads.

The restaurant, located on the Northeast Corner of Preston Road and West Parker Road, was conceptualized by Tim McLaughlin, co-owner of Lockhart Smokehouse, and Chef Ryan Carbery along with business partner RJ Timmons. The three men bonded over the idea of a restaurant serving high-quality, farm-to-table, chef-driven food and created the unique concept for Farmbyrd that offers farm-fresh food along with Texas beers and craft cocktails.

The counter-service restaurant will offer rotisserie and fried chicken, salads and many side options. The 3,486-square-foot restaurant will be open 7 days a week serving lunch and dinner, and will also feature a full bar.

“We have been working on our rotisserie and fried recipes for quite some time and we are excited to bring our concept to life,” said Mr. McLaughlin. “We are offering a focused and simple menu that allows the farm fresh ingredients to shine.”

CBRE’s Greg Pierce and Ryan May represented Farmbyrd in site selection and lease negotiations.

“We are very excited for Tim, Ryan and RJ, as we believe with the density, the concentration of families, the excellent demographics and well-known intersection of Parker and Preston, that this will be a very successful endeavor. This location and the existing restaurants have been very well supported by the neighborhood,” said Mr. Pierce, a Senior Vice President with CBRE in Dallas.
