UCR Annouces Karla Smith as New Partner
DALLAS, Texas, October 3, 2013 – UCR, a leading retail real estate services provider, today announced the promotion of Karla Smith to partner. Karla joined UCR in 2003 and celebrated her tenth year with the firm in August.
Karla works on some of UCR’s highest profile accounts, managing site selection in Texas for accounts such as Target, Sprouts Farmers Market, Cabela’s and Pacific Dental services. Karla has worked with significant landlord clients and premier projects for Forest City, Hunt Properties, Duggan Realty, Direct Development, Rubloff Commercial, AVB Partners and United Commercial Development.

Karla’s unique ability to perform and connect makes her a favorite with clients.

Karla is involved with industry organizations, including ICSC, CREW and NTCAR for which she serves on the Board of Directors and as 2013 Retail Committee Chair. Karla is also a founding member of Deals in Heels, a local networking group of professional women in retail real estate that educates and encourages the growth of women in the industry. Outside of the industry, Karla also enjoys spending time with her family and outdoors. She also actively participates in community service organizations and volunteers her time with the North Texas Food Bank, The Stewpot, Meals on Wheels and is involved in the National Charity League.
