UCR Tapped for Arbor Park

United Commercial Realty (UCR) of San Antonio has been hired to lease Arbor Park — a 140,000-square-foot retail center located at U.S. Highway 281 and Henderson Pass in North Central San Antonio.

Managing partner Guyla Sineni and UCR Partner Craig Garansuay will oversee the leasing of the center.

Arbor Park is home to such national names as OfficeMax, Sprouts Farmers Markets and Michael’s.

Arbor Park marks the latest property that UCR will oversee for owner RioCan Real Estate Investment Trust.

Toronto-based RioCan made a major purchase into San Antonio’s retail sector back in 2011. The firm, through a joint venture with Inland Western Retail Real Estate Trust, purchased the Alamo Ranch shopping center on the city’s far West Side for roughly $92.2 million.

Much has changed since then.

Oak Brook, Ill.-based Inland Western Retail Real Estate Trust is now known as Retail Properties of America.

And since the fourth quarter of 2013, RioCan has had 100-percent ownership of Alamo Ranch — as well as Arbor Park and the Ingram Hills Shopping Center in Northwest San Antonio.

This past October, RioCan announced that it had fully staffed its U.S. operations — opening regional offices in Mount Laurel, N.J.; and Dallas. The firm also announced that it had taken full ownership of almost all of the real estate it had previously owned through joint ventures.

UCR’s Sineni and Garansuay also head up leasing for Alamo Ranch.
