SAN ANTONIO, Texas, December 13, 2007 – The new campus of Paul Mitchell-The School celebrated its’ grand opening on December 12 with a party held in the 25,000 sf studio center located at Loop 410 and Summit Parkway in San Antonio, Texas. Owners, John and Janet Turnage, as well John Paul DeJoria, the CEO of John Paul Mitchell Systems, were in attendance. The institute will provide education through courses and programs ranging from basic cosmetology to becoming a licensed skin care therapist, as well as training to be an instructor. The school provides another exciting addition to the flourishing northwest side of San Antonio.
In 2004, United Commercial Realty’s Marie Ludeke was selected by John Turnage to use her real estate knowledge and site selection skills for Paul Mitchell – The School. Over the course of the next year, Ludeke evaluated sites that would best fit the tenant’s needs. The former Racquetball & Fitness center at the intersection of Loop 410 and Summit Parkway located on the northwest side provided the right opportunity. Extensive remodeling ensued during 2006 and much of 2007 and the final result was “ready for a close-up” on December 12. Ludeke, who also attended the grand opening, expressed a great sense of accomplishment to see the project come to fruition.
